Cultivating a sense of grounding, strength, and heartfelt self-compassion can support us in stepping forward into our lives with a sense of ease and resiliency. We can skillfully cultivate qualities that support our healing through consciously choosing to take gentle compassionate steps towards the life we want to live. Consciously choosing to envision new possibilities for our lives and our well-being.
I incorporate therapeutic yoga tools and techniques to support individuals. This includes slow intentional movement, breathing techniques, and mindfulness meditation to support self-regulation and balance of the body, mind, and spirit.
I am an experienced Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT: 1,000 hours) through the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga and a 500-hour Experienced-RYT Yoga Teacher. I am a teacher and student of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and trained at the Center of Mindfulness. I am a certified Positive Psychology trainer, have completed foundational training in Trauma Center- Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) and served as a public school teacher with students and families from under-served populations for over 20 years.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over 35 years. This continued practice, my training and learnings from my teachers, and wisdom and lessons gained from the dark times have guided me as a yoga therapist and a yoga teacher over these many years.
I guide and facilitate workshops on therapeutic yoga for stress and anxiety regulation and management, yoga for empowered and healthy aging, yoga for healthy digestion, and intention setting for life-style balance and self-care.
